How to use this website

Our database of textbook information is drawn from the official University textbook lists. You can use to look up your textbook information and compare prices at online bookstores.

Start by clicking on a department in the box on the left hand side of the homepage. Next, choose your course from the list of classes in the box on the right. The class listing also includes the section number unless all sections are using the same textbooks.

Below the two boxes you will then see the class information, title and instructor along with any additional information about the book list. Below that is the list of required and optional textbooks.

On the left hand side you will see the title, author, ISBN, publisher and Required or Optional. If the UM libraries have the book you will also see a link to the library catalog.

On the right hand side is a comparison of prices of various online bookstores, where we were able to get that information. The prices are updated frequently but can't be guaranteed. Just click on the link to go to the bookstore's website where you can purchase the book.
